Will running phosban kill off chaeto

2 weeks ago I started using a phosban reactor
Now my cheato is pretty much gone
Does phosban pull out nutrients that chaeto needs to grow

The Phosban could potentially strip most of the phos that the chaeto needs. It makes sense. However, I've never had that issue with mine. Maybe I feed more.

I only have 3 fish so I feed them pellets till they stop eating
Every day
And I add 1.5 ounce mix of phyto and azox coral food every other day

It has been fine for the last 3 months
The only thing I recently added was phosban
I turned off the pump to the reactor and turned the fuge lamp on 24/7
Hopefully it will start to grow back

I've had zero PO4 as long as I've had a tank. I feed every 3 days just enough for fish to live off and I spot feed once a week. I've kept chaeto alive in a goldfish bowl covered in saranewrap outside all this past summer. I can't kill the stuff. Something sounds wrong

It's a finnex fuge ray
It's plant growing lamp
It's been fine and actually was getting time to trim it cause there was so
Damn much of it
And the next day..poof almost gone
It's gotta be the lack of phosphates
I just turn off the reactor and am going
To leave the light on constantly and see how it goes hopefully it will start to
Grow again
I guess I'll have to do either or and I would rather have the cheato

And the light sits about 5 inches from the top of the chaeto
It grows a bunch of algae on the walls around the light and to the water line
So it's good enough to grow the chaeto

I've been running it in my tank and it hasn't affected the chaeto at all.

Mine neither. Just trying to think this out. Cause and effect seems rational. You hook up Phosban...chaeto dies off. Everyone's tank is different. It is definitely plausible.
