will same sps species sting each other?

I was wondering will like species sting/kill each other? I have a pink milli colony that i want to mount near a blue/purple milli, can this be done?

I fraged my birdsnest and put two right next to each other will the base grow and form one or fight for the spot

If they are frags from the same coral then no, they will grow into each other. But yes 2 different sps will sting each other when they close and the faster growing coral normally wins.

If they are truly the exact same species than I think that they wont sting each other.....or that the stinging will not be bad at all.

I once placed a blue milli next to a ora blue milli that looked exactly the same and one grew right over the top or the other while I wasnt paying attention

I dont know why I shared that as it was kind of OT.......but anyway, as far as your question...... you will find that if you allow them to grow together instead of beign simply placed next to each other they will usually be much more tolerant of each other regardless of species
