Will tail fin heal??

So I just picked up a mystery wrasse today and one of the other fish where I got it from nipped at its tail fin a bit. I was a little weary of gettin him but was a good deal and did had nice colors. the guy at the store said it would heal to normal in a month or so. Will it heal up like he said or is my fish goin to have a gimp tail fin?

I would expect less time than a month to heal... I've had minor fish squabbles from time to time that split a fin or take a chunk out, normally within a week or two you cant even tell it happened. Depends on the size of the wound, of course, but a small nip should heal in no time, if your water quality is good and you're feeding good food.

Thanks for the info fellas, I feel a lot better about my purchase. For a minute there I thought I got duped.
