Will the corals eventually take it?

Just installed my TS24 in a 96x24x18 High. Got them roughly in back corners (4" overflow boxes in the way!) facing towards front centre.

Kick out a pretty serious current! Presumably (as you sell thousands of these) the corals will eventually get used to the increased flow?

I've currently got a 30-60 2 sec pulse on about a 7 second interval 1 (the one that shuts alternate circuit off completely). Should I start lower, ie. just a 30% interval 1 and work up over a few weeks, or just go for it at these settings? For the last 6 weeks I've been on a 6060 at one end, a MJ1200, at the other, and 3 MJ1200s clearing under the rockwork (all this was replaced with the TS24).

Does the interval 1 stop/starting the pump give any unecessary wear on the pumps? I know pumps often advice against this, but as the alternating on/off can go right down to a second I guess that it doesn't really matter?

Thanks

The interval does not affect the pumps but is probably making things harder for your corals than need be. Try 30%-50% for a while set your interval to 6 hrs. You will have a lot less chaos this way, but absolutely the corals should adapt but some may have to be moved to more sheltered locations, this flow is ideal for leathers and SPS and many other corals need a more gentle flow and should be sheltered and farther from the pumps.
