Will this work as a sea horse tank

I have never tried sea horses. I have a cube style tank 12x12x20 15 gallons with live sand and live rocks in it, waiting to cycle. I am wondering if this would make a sea horse tank? I will have a HOB skimmer, and enough PC lights to handle it. I need advice, help, and help!

Unfortunately that size is too small for a pair of normal seahorses, and too large for dwarf zosterae.

You could keep a pair H. Fuscus in that size tank.
Just watch your water params.

Seahorses dont need a ton of space, and since the tank is 20" in height it should work fine... especially since H. Fuscus tend to be much smaller than Reidi or Erectus

Even Fuscus in a 15 will most likely be a problem unless you have a decent sized sump, refugium and skimmer.
The height of the tank isn't the problem in this case, it's the amount of water and the fact seahorse water degrades very fast.
Without the sump, refugium and skimmer, be sure to test for ammonia daily and be prepared to do major water changes frequently to keep the water from degrading.
You will probably have to vacuum uneaten food and detritus daily.

agreed...nothing larger than fuscus.

if you add a couple of Nassarius snails to the setup, they will help with the leftover food and detritus. i'd follow rayjay's advice until you get a handle on how the tank will behave with that bioload.

LR and macroalgae will go a long way to aid in your overall water quality.

Just be careful when you have to prune that algae. I have read some really sad posts from people who have pruned and not realized that they have pulled one of their horses out with the algae...
