All that car talk jinxed me, my check engine light came on on the way home. my plates are up at the end of the month and they will fail it automatically if the CE light is on....there goes the money i set aside for a controller.

This time of a year, is when a lot of Light come on with nothing major wrong. When you get gas do you leave your car running to keep it warm? If so that will trigger the light to come.. Or if you don't tighten the cap back just right. Undo the Cap and put it back on let the car run for 10-20 min's and that usually does the trick.

Or take the car up to O'Rileys and have them plug it in. If the light is on they can tell you the code, so at least know what the problem is. But I would redo the Gas Cap on the way there and the light will probably be gone before you get up there.

I had Advance clear the code. it was the same code I had last time i needed plates and they failed it. it was something to do with the turbo. i need to get in tomorrow for the emissions part of the test. i know i wont pass the safety inspection until i get a new windshield. you cant put a 10' piece of pvc into a 9'11 car, sure it might seem like you got it in there but then when you hit a bump it cracks the windshield....
