Winterfell Reef - A 100 Gallon Journey

Awesome stuff, are you running any pumps for phosphate. I cant seem to be keeping corals and i think my phosphates are my biggest problem!

Thanks. No, I'm not doing anything for phosphates yet - no GFO. I might start adding some nitra cubes in the near future, now that I have some fish in my tank.

Very nice, like i said i started to go reef and lost some corals. Mainly due to phosphates i believe. So i am now adding a phosban reactor.

I really like the new fish list, and good luck with the copperband! Have you started restocking at all yet?

Thank you. I'm somewhat sceptical about the copperband, but I've added a blue (hippo) tang and a yellow tang last week. Both have been quarantined for over 4 weeks and treated with cupramine. So far so good.

How did you phosphates get? Mine are at 0.02 ppm as of today.

That's really good!
Mine sits at .07-.08. Not too bad, but not good either. The only place i have any algae growth at all is a couple small spots in the frag tank of all places. And I have to clean my glass every other day to get the dusty stuff off.

Neat, considering that I'm not using anything to actively remove phosphates I guess that's not too bad. My Nitrates are at 1 ppm, but I do get a fair bit of green bubble algae in my tank (no other algae issues so far, knock on wood).

The two fish I've introduced into my tank are a hippo tang and a yellow tang. The aquarium remained fishless for over two months, so I'm glad to see some movement in there (shrimp don't quite count).

I stumbled on this thread looking at options for the same size footprint and I just wanted to say that your tanks looks phenomenal :)
