above posters....
could you post your lighting, placement, tank depth, indirect or direct light, temp, flow, etc for the wilsonis.
i have finally been able to aquire one, its gorgeous. i have it
14 inches below surface,
low-med flow (closer to low),
under kessil a150w ocean blue (15k) 10 hrs per day indirect and kessil a150w sky blue (10k) 6 hrs per day indirect,
temp 77 with maybe a degree fluctuation on the odd day.
feeding it 1x per week (pe mysis and pellet plus some plankton food it may or may not get much of)
params are satisfactory: ph 8.25 (may fluctuate to 8.18 or 8.3 in a day), alk 8, cal 430
Mine has gone a bit darker red than purchase date (still really shows colors more immensely under just actinic), and i had a fish harass it for food that settled under its edge, exposing the skeletal tips for about an inch very intermittantly, and i believe it has receded just an 1\8 " and appears to be healed and recession has stopped. i moved it up off the sand onto a rock so no tissue can rub.
any tips, things unlike acans or other LPS to look for i should be aware of, and ideas for coloration would be much appreciated.
nice friggin pictures! those are awesome pieces. keep me in mind if you ever frag or want rid of them.
