Wish me luck

I was getting ready to pack up some clowns, and I hear a strange noise, and a sudden loss of power on 80% of my building. Turns out that 2 of the legs of my 3-phase power is not coming into the building. The cables are burried, and 40% of whats burried has had 4 inches of concrete poured over the ground so replacement is not easy! I was able to route some extensions cords from the one leg that is still coming in, to my pumps and heaters. The furnace is down, but I was able to get a few 1500 watt space heaters running. Hopefully it will stay warm enough without poping the few circuits that are running on the 1 leg and hopefully it wont get too cold tonight. . . An electrician is coming by in the morning to lay some cables on top of the ground to get me running again, and then will either come back to burry the cables, or run them overhead.. WHAT A PITA!

Did you call ComEd to have them come out first ??? Anytime we lose a leg of power at any of our site (the emissions testing stations) its almost always (like 99.9%) one of their fuses in the transformer that took a crap... make sure you turn off anything that runs off of all three phases, because when they try to start backup they can toast themselves... the "single phasing" is horrible on the electronic components...

Yah, I'd think this was a ComEd issue. Boy, wish there were something I could do to help out...

Doesn't sound pretty....good luck Rod. I guess you can always bring the livestock inside your parents' house :)

If you need to use my generator let me know. You know where I am. It is in the garage. I think it is like 5800W Honda

I'm off at 1pm the rest of the week rod, let me know if you need help with ANYTHING. GOOD LUCK...and i'll stop out tonight...

Ditto on what every one else said If you need any thing just give a shout
Hope your electrician shows up first thing and takes care of all your worries

Thank you everyone for the support and offers!.. A great community we have here! :). I had an electrician help me get things up and running until he can get back early next week to finish up.

Menard, You are correct, the clowns are tough and they were the least of my worries. My biggest fear was that it was going to get cold in here. Im glad it was October and noy Feburary.

Sara, Tony/Tonya asked me to tell you that there were only 5 SPS lost. Im not quite sure what he was getting at.. I dont have lights on my system yet, but Ill check that out soon . :D

Thanks again!
