Noo just a single but ive been watching them and he isent interested at all he acualy defends them when the psudochromis tryes to bully them like the maroon will intercept the psudochromis and haven't showed sigh of being mean

R.I.P. soon little fishies. When I first started a saltwater tank years ago I had a maroon and a little perc. Maroon tore him up daily

It's either them or the maroon, you can't have both unless you have a large system and even then there's no grantee the maroon clown won't kill them.

I guess nobody understands what I am saying? He defends them. He will swim between them and the purple psudochromis when the PP trys to attck the perc the maroon will Intersept and stop him from niping thr percs.

I have watched them on and off for 6 hours and the maroon doesnt even go near them

Anyway what kind of clown are they or is there not a way of knowing just from looks

Do you see an orange coloring from the eyes when light is shown at them? If yes, they are occ.

They will probably buddy up for a while but one day prepare to get another tank going if you intend on keeping both species.

Well one is on the way I hope they last for a couple weeks

Not a good idea I tried mixing maroons and other species.
They buddied up for about 6 months until the maroon started to mature. They become very aggressive when they mature but as juveniles they are fairly peaceful. So yes the maroon is friends with your new clowns we get that part but you arent understanding what we are saying. They do not mix easy and you will likely have some dead fish if you dont separate them before the maroon matures

I don't think he is defending the little ocellaris. It is rather that he just can't stand that pesky pseudochromis. He likely would fight him in any case.

Maroon and ocellaris may go along for a while but chances are high that it will end badly.

Well Im moveing them within 2 weeks to a new tank so I shouldent have to worry about the maroon matureing
