Women Reefers show me what you got.

Fantastic pic of your naso tang bug. And ladys. Great tanks.
We can be very proud.
Something I am noticing in all of the pictures, we don't seem to cram out tanks full of rock like others do.
Anyone else notice that?

uh huh... first thing I noticed. :D

I work hard to make sure my home looks pretty and feels warm and cozy. I want the same for my tank... lol

I'm new to the hobby and still learning, but I think I did a pretty good job on my first tank. My husband isn't into the hobby at all so good or bad, what you see was all created by me. As you can see, it's a very 'girly' tank, mostly pinks :D For the record, I don't have a pocket protector ;)
Here's my 30g reef, just 7 months old:

Wow acb, beautiful, is that xenia on the right? Looks white.
Very pretty.
I love girly tanks.
Men want to put big rocks, big fish and big corals in theres.;)
I like to start out small.
By the way, my large tank in the pics doesnt have that much rock any longer, its spread out among the 3 tanks now.
I just had to consolidate for awhile.

Off the subject but I felt compelled to mention it...

Rose, your avitar is great. I lost my black lab born in 1992, passed in 2005. Yet one more thing we have in common... besides a pretty tank. :D

Sorry for your loss... and for getting off topic.

Here's what I got...75 gal with about 15 gallon sump. Did all the plumbing myself and hubby doesn't do anything with it! My career is aquaculture but this is my first marine tank in my own home. It's been stocked since May '05. Sorry the picture isn't too clear.

Here's mainly what's in it:
Hippocampus erectus...

Bug, are you refering to me?(karen)
Bear was the last of my Anatolian shephards. I had three, two sisters and Watcher, a huge white male.
Bear was put to sleep on the 29th of Dec. Burried in my pasture under a large group of cedar trees.
She was 14 years old.
We sure do miss her.
Sorry about the loss of your pooch also. It is so hard to loose a family member, be it furface or person. About the same to me as I have lost both.

Mano, what a great tank. You should be very proud of yourself to do all of the plumbing to.
They (men) just think we need them;)
Please post more pictures of your tank close up.
Are you breeding seahorses?
I used to till I moved and had to sell them but want to get back into them some day.

Thanks Karen :) You're right, it is Xenia. Normally pink, but on the day after a water change it does something very strange... all the zooxanthellae seem to concentrate in a few areas, and the rest of the colony bleaches. It goes away within a few days and the entire thing becomes bubblegum pink again. Only started happening when I switched to IO, I actually started a thread on it today but no one so far seems to know why it's doing this. Here's a pic, wierd, isn't it?

Bear was lovely, what a gorgeous dog. My lab/pointer cross is named Shadow, he's part of the family. He loves trying to help with things, usually he gets underfoot when I'm in the middle of a water change

Mano, great tank! I don't see seahorse tanks often and that's a gorgeous one :)

Here is a shot of my 225, I'm afraid I don't get the reward for not having a packed tank. Thats another reason I'm going to a 550. So I can give all my sps room to grow.

My gosh AC, I thought that's what it is. Mine has never done that however.
It stays a pretty ugly brown all of the time. Well, not true, sometimes it looks pink. Which I love.
Here is some of mine in my 75.

Yes Karen, I meant you! lol

Oh and Betty B. my Blonde Naso Tang... loves to pose for the camera. She is such a ham... as you'll see in this next photo. She's my Katrina survivor and is spoiled rotten!

Great pictures girls! Very colorful!

What a great thread! :D

LOL no no, I was just quoting znut Reefer, it's her that's setting up a 550 - I wish, but I live in an apartment about the size of a 550g tank, lol.
