Hey guys!
I starting a new reef after losing my older 225 gallon established reef during a house fire last December.
This is a 400 gallon display (3 sides starfire) with a 100 gallon sump. The tank has need running for about 5 weeks now, and has 300 lbs carib rock and a rather shallow sand bed that started as live sand.
My nitrate levels are still running 16-32 PPM which seems high to me at 5 weeks out. I have not placed any livestock in the tank yet.
Does this seem like a slow start to you guys that are used to large tanks?
Thanks everyone!
