In case you guys are curious... Thought I'd share. I've been meaning to change out the coast to coast overflow in my 150gal tank. Wanted something thinner. It was like 6" deep and my tank effectively 18" wide. Silly for me to have bought a 48" by 24" footprint if 6" is for coast to coast. So I changed it.
During disassembly. You can see how wide the black overflow is.

The new "thin" coast to coast (C2C) overflow. 2.75" deep by 10" tall by 44" wide. It's extra deep so I can possibly use as macroalgae growout or refugium.

makes my tank look SOOO much more depth.

On that note, I have an old coast to coast overflow that can be used for a 36-40" wide tank. Because I cut about 3-4" from one end so I could take it out. The original overflow... No idea how previous tank's designer made overflow unless he "glued" it in tank or removed the tank top trim. It was literally 1/4" less than width of inside tank.
