Well I finally got my tank up and running again.

80lbs. of sand
90lbs of rock
two seio 820's
400 watt 14k hamilton
12gallon sump and fuge
rio 1100 return pump

Need recommendations on skimmer, I do not have much room in my sump. I do have room next to the sump in the stand!

My tank has been cycling for about a week now,
Any recommendations on stocking pods or coral additives?

Pics will be posted soon!!!!

I'd get one of the larger Aqua C HOB skimmers. I had the regular remora on my 55 and it worked great, but that is probably as big of a tank i'd put it on. Maybe go with the pro version or if they have another bigger HOB one, go for that one? My remora still works great and i got it used, never had the pump changed or anything (its over 2 years old i believe) and i just have the regular pump...i hear you can use better pumps and get better results :)

thanks for the skimmer ideas!

I tested my tank last night and I have no nitrites or Nitrates. I do have ammonia though (1.0)
Has my tank not gone through a cycle or is it going to cycle?

its just starting the cycle. IME amonia comes first, then as it starts to be broken down by the bacteria, it turns to nitrite...then as the nitrite bacteria grows, they break that down to nitrates. With live rock nitrates can be broken down to something else too...i'm thinking...nitrogen? Some sorta gas i think. If you had something like a canister filter for your main filtration tho...the media in those things cant break down nitrates any further.

thanks sir dude Thats what I thought.

Well I guess its not time for corals. I figured since my rock and sand were established I would'nt go into a cycle again.
