Hmmm. I overestimated my count including those posted in the Loung. I have a total of 2413 (searched on my name with individual post results checked). It is a little strange to look back 5 years and see my questions from when I was first starting.

A quick check (which will likely result in my searching privaleges being suspended for bogging down the network) shows on 9227 for Chris and 3892 for EvilMel. So at least you guys were posting in real forums. I am about 5 times the Lounge Hound you guys are.

Sales and Lounge posts don't count. I think I had like 800 Lounge posts before I broke 200 posts elsewhere.

I used to post in the sale forum for a bit...when I was looking at getting a big tank. Then I just friggin' bought one from glass cages...and...well...you know what happened next...hah hah.

Since I noticed my number of posts, I am dying to make it to 4000 now.

Mel, if you click the search icon thing at the top of one of your past posts you get the number of all posts you've made.

It was when there was a "sub-Lounge" for Politics and Religion. Apparently some war topics were bothering the sensitivities of a major sponsor (or some such rumor I heard) and it was shut down. I used to enjoy arguing with a couple of fairly intelligent liberals at that forum, too. A rarity. Ah, well. The good 'ol days.

Sounds like you might like to read Ann Coulter's latest book.

Since that time I've had about three of my signatures removed for violating the posting policy. One was Reagan's "thousand shining city on a hill" quote I posted right after he died. People are too touchy.

On the bright side, once they closed the place down, I started looking at the other forums and posting in them. I still remember the first day, not knowing what else to do, I browsed the newbie forum and answered like 5 questions from noobs and hopefully helped them out some. So it was for the better that free speech was obliterated.
