Worm (?) ID (it's a peanut worm) - it's amazing what you find

I moved a rock and found this guy under it. I'd love to know what this is. He was really cool. He was very moble, the thicker part of the body could bend in an arc, and his tenticle/snout could be extended like in the 2nd picture, but wasn't normally that long. After I left him alone, he prompty buried himself in the sand, which didn't take all that long. He didn't seem interested in moving along the surface of the sand - just going down.

Looks like a peanut worm to me.

That's really cool. I wish this was a visible inhabitant of the tank.
