Overgreen

I found three of these worms on my new green goniopora coral around a month and a half ago. I took them off and attempted to id them but never found anything on them. Well I found another one and took his butt out. Well I saw a baby the other night and not on the coral so I know theres more.. Anyone know what this critter is??

It's a phyllodocid. These seem to be fairly common on Goniopora, so they're probably some sort of commensal. While they are predatory worms, most feed on active prey, so it's unlikely to be eating the coral itself and I've never seen any evidence of damage they've caused.

So they aren't that bad? I dont really like the phrase predatory or feed on active prey, but I'm hoping they aren't that bad. I searched for the type you just gave me and still haven't seen the exact one that I have.

Well I figured that but I was thinking someone else has seen these guys. I yanked another one out tonight. I searched by what he told me and never ided him. That's why I was reaching out again because I don't know much more from when I started. I guess i shouldn't worry now because they are in there lol

Generally, once GreenBean has spoken that's all that needs to be said.
