Any ideas what this may be?
A worm, about 3 inches long, less than 1/8 inch in diameter. White color, red spots (kind of looks like a spotted moray eel). One dark spot at its head. No bristles, smooth skin/ surface. Doesn't seem to be segmented, but may be difficult to see. Comes out of the live rock at night. Moves like a snake eel. Shrinks, expands and slithers from its hole and waves in the water current.
Other worm history
I just removed a 12 inch long, 1/3 diameter bristle worm from the tank a week ago (had no idea it was there until it came out one night- luckily I was quick enough to nab it right away).
So, now I'm on extra ready worm alert.
