It's a cirratulid polychaete, AKA hair worm. Many sessile and soft bodied inverts have chemical defenses for protection against predators. Normally these are in the sediment, picking up detritus & poop to eat and cleaning tanks in the process.
Thanks for the info and I feel honored that the great worm Goddess posted in my thread. I though it looked like the ones in the sand but wanted to make sure it wasn’t going to hurt anything. Thanks Leslie for the ID.
