Worm's 180 build

Interesting little pH event over last night.

The left is the last 7 days and the right is last 30 days.

If you look at last night the ph never went down like it usually does. It stayed flat and increased when the lights came on.

No dosing changes container is about 75% full.
House was not open to the outdoors, it is kinda cool here in DC area.
Feeding was normal last night.
I took out some cheato about 4 days ago, and the remainder has grown some.
Lighting sequence, including sump is the same.
No temp changes or water changes.

The straight down drops is from me feeding. I have a replacement pH probe, but when the sump raises from the pumps being off it always dives to about 7.2 or so. Once the water level on the probe goes back to normal it reverts to the correct reading, hence why I got a new probe. Somedays I do not go to feed mode and just let things float where they want to.

Just thought I would share.

Thanks for posting the photos. I can't seem to find them available for sale anywhere.

The wrasse is still swimming in the tank and living with out most of its tail. I wonder how long it will take for re-growth.

I have an opportunity to make an addition to the tank and I will be doing so this up coming week.

I will be making a video of the preparation and introduction. If you watch the webcam you will get a sneak peak later this week before the video comes out next week or the week after.

Winter has never really hit us, snow wise, but I am not going to start cleaning out the garage until we are good into spring. Then I will be working on the 265 setup.

On a side note, a friend of mine is moving into a new-to-them house. At the same time her relative called and has offered his 300g tank and setup. I will be setting up my 2x200 g storage tanks to get ready to make water and mix salt for the tank move and setup.

That male crosshatch trigger took a bite out of the lyretail anthias and in the process consumed about 70% of his tail. Three weeks later, can't even tell it was ever missing...

Curious what the new addition is.

Good. I will keep an eye on him and see about how long it takes.

Yeah I am curious to SEE what it is too. :jester:

Well I saw and picked up the new addition. Acclimation took a while.

First unpacking and making sure temp was good and same as existing tank.
Took some of the packed water and started to add tank water to it so it can mix.
Drain off some mixed water and did it some more.
Removed it from the water and put it where it belongs.

One of the items I dipped, in coral Rx. Only a copepod and 2 starfish came off. I left it in a bit longer than usual as I was busy with the stuff up top. It should be good too. Looks real good.

I made some video of setup and some of placement. I wish I had about 3 more go-pros then I could have made a nice multi angle and been able to record the acclimation. As it was, I just let the gopro run until it got to see the items. No need to move and all as I was on a time schedule and did not want to keep going back and forth.

The tank is in lights out right now so you can see what is going on, via the webcam. You can see a good glare from the sump light that is running right now, though.

I wont change my signature yet, you will have to wait.

I am tired. Just mentally. Bed time.

OHHH Wash Caps play tomorrow (Hockey.) LETS GO CAPS!!!

I also have Tickets. It is ok... the Canucks will win one day.

I mean neither one of us has a CUP but we are still trying.

Wow how many clowns are swimming around in that nem? Looks like 6 wyoming whites or platinums and 2 regular clowns having a hay day! Is that a mag or gig?

The webcam is at: http://worm5406.from-md.com:83 If too many people are hitting it at once it will put people in a QUE and they take turns looking/controlling the cam. You can zoom/pan all around and there are some quick links in the top drop down.

I did some 120 tank rearranging in preparation of adding some items.

The items got added last night.

I am in the process of writing up a post for it, will put it up later this weekend, so I don't want to give it away too much. You can look on your own, and comment here if you want.

Remember the camera moves so when you look someone else could be controlling it. There is a 120 on the left, a 180 on the right, and the 75 sump down below. It is best to zoom out and see it. Then click and drag a box on the view and zoom in on it.
