Team RC
Here is a video I put in my build channel, in the large tank section.

I wanted to share it with everyone here though.

Get some feedback. I will make a few more videos and add them to this thread as a place to see them together.

Beautiful tank, Worm. Are you a professional videographer? Placing two views in one video seems very hi tech to me.
A few questions:
You appear to have three clowns at the beginning of the video. At the end you have the same three plus many more. How does that work long term? I thought a harem needed to be litter mates.

Was that a green gig you placed in the left corner after the red haddoni?

My appreciation goes out to you and Minh and some others for providing answers to questions and guidance to newbies such as myself. Your post are always helpful and not critical.

I do wish someone (hint) would post a sticky taking each type of anemone commonly available to the trade and describing it. Colors available, colors of foot, any foot markings, tentacle description, preferred placement in tank, hosting or not, any culture hints. I am sure you could think of other points to be covered. It would be very helpful when I go to my aquarium store and see an anemone I am considering buying! I would think others would benefit from such a post. It might help with "Can you identify this anemone?"

Again, beautiful tank...you are an inspiritation!

No I am not a pro. Just photography and video is a side hobby. It's actually pretty simple to make the video and transitions like that. I use Premier Pro.
A few questions:

I thought a harem needed to be litter mates. The additional clowns are all from the same clutch. I removed a pair of maroon clowns that were the three other tank mates. While the Marion's were the bullies, this offset should help them adapt. The tank size increase and the separation between anemones will help. I am sure I will need to seperate them as they get older.

Was that a green gig you placed in the left corner after the red haddoni? Yes the green is on the far left, I forgot to video it like the other two when recording. Had to move the cameras then place the other gig which made me forget to put the camera there.

Thanks for your comments and questions. I look forward to documenting these all.

Not a problem, Minh. I got home as the atnics were kicking in. When I get home tomorrow I will take out the digital and take some of all three.

I just received a 4 year old established blue gig a few months ago. I have been afraid that it will eat fish that swim in the middle of the tank. Is my fear unfounded? I really want to buy some nice fish but always think about what could happen. The tentacles are uber sticky on it and I would bet that any fish that touches it would be caught. Btw, that green gig is amazing!

Your fear is certainly justified. I had a diamond tail flasher wrasse, Hawaiian flame wrasse and Rhomboid fairy wrasse with a mag in a 4ft tank. They had enough room to swim without getting too close to the mag. Doing the same thing in a 3ft tank would be pushing it but still could be possible. The risk of loss would probably be much higher though.

Yeah, I am unsure of what to do. While my new gig is now the centerpiece of my new tank, I do want more fish. Decisions, decisions...

Wow. That blue gig is the nicest I've ever seen, it's size and color are just amazing!

I have a 120 and a 180. The gigs are in the 120. Once my 265 comes on line they will be the center piece of that tank.

Granted my 180 does have haddoni in it, and I do like some of the other fish. I am making sure that I do not let them have any free snacks that might get ingested 3 seconds after introduced out of QT.

I got home today from work and the greeg gig was laid out enjoying the attention the clowns were giving it. I moved it up a bit to get it off the rock it is on, but it is happy sitting where it is.

Both of the two Gig's are right below the light, the haddoni is in between the two.

Thank you. I credit it to the last owner and how he kept it. Now if you look around this section (Anemones & Clownfish) look for OrionN threads. He has some of the best in show that I have seen. This blue gig will stretch out left to right way more than when I saw it when I picked it up.

Very nice! Large gig.

What facility did those clowns come from?
Thanks. I do believe they came from a private breeder. I will find out though. I did not ask their heritage.

Here is the link to the album with the pictures I put up. There are others in there too that I did not put up. I will weed them out, so you might want to look now at some of them.
