I need help/advice from someone out there. Last night I noticed I was missing a fish, so we decieded to move the rock around and have a look. Well after shifting the sand I noticed a large orangish worm in the center of the tank buried in the sand. Does anyone have any ideal what this may be? Any help would be greatly appricated.

did it look like this?

the 1st one is a bristle worm, i'm almost positive that's what your talking about, i've never really heard about spaghetti worms hurting fish at all, they'll irritate coral, but not fish IMO

A bristleworm is a carrion eater, harmless to the living [except humans: their bristles sting us, but not the corals] They live in the rocks and are valuable detrivores.

Oh, I threw that sucker out. When I found it in my sand bed it was all coiled up. It looked like a orange earth worm. Very strange....
