worms

I was moving some of my live rock around in my QT tank today and I found some worms under the rocks. I didn't know I had any worms. I bought some live rock off of someone a while back, that might be how I got them.
But, they are tan and red. They both look different. I took a picture, but I must admit, I never learned how to post a picture on reefcentral before.
But, I've read about people pulling 2 - 6 foot black worms out of their tank. Do I want to leave the worms in my tank? Like I said, the ones I found were tanish and red. I pulled the worms out of the tank for now, I don't know if they are good or bad for my tank. One of these days, I'm going to have to take the time to learn how to post a picture on here.

98% of all the worms are good for your tank.. if you have not seen any coral damage i would not worry about it....but if you see damage and see one like this get it out .. this guy came out of my tank

i would bet they are bristle worms i have TONS of them, never had any problems other than they multiply like crazy.

yeah, based on your descriptions I'd say they're likely harmless bristleworms, which are very common hitchhikers on liverock.

I still hold onto the bristleworm ID, I think they're both harmless, but another shot of the top one would build more confidence.
