Worried about my first SPS in my new tank

I'm a little worried about the browning on the Psammocora and the slightly lower than ideal pH. I'm thinking that I might try boosting the pH via adding some Alkalinity and lowering the Salinity a bit via removing some water and adding RODI with a bit of buffer. Thoughts on this plan?

Or could the browning be due to insufficient light?

Tank Parameters:

Salinity: 1.026
pH: 7.8
Alk: 8.5 dKH
Ca: 450
Mg: 1320
Temp: 76.6

Is this in your 7 gallon? If so I'd just do a quick water change to fix the params.

What type of lighting do you have? Browning could be the result of low light but could also be due to other issues such as high nutrient levels. I doubt the browning is due to the ph level.

Yeah this is in my 7 gallon. It is near the top since I figured that'd be the best spot given its light needs.

Previously had a 6 watt mixed Wave Point LED which I knew was underpowered so I grabbed a Fluval Nano LED which I hope will be sufficient. I've only had it under that for a day before I took the picture. My backup plan if that doesn't seem to do it is to probably switch over to a PAR38 from Coral Compulsion (which I have on order as a backup).

Glad to hear it was hopefully just my previous inadequate lighting.
