Would a Tunze Nano Wavebox work in my tank ?

My tank is 49.5" H x 22" W x 25" D

It has an euro-brace and the water height is currently 1-1.5" from the rim.

I currently have 2 x 6101 in my tank.

Hi Roger,

Made a mistake, the height of the water is actually more like 1/2 inch from the rim of the tank. Do you still think it will work ?

Thanks,
Chr

For the waveflow to be effective the wave really needs to be 3/4" tall at a minimum, with so little space for a wave, I don't see it as a worthwhile investment.

if my goal is just to produce an "oscillating current" in my tank, could I still use the Nanowavebox ?

Yes, but you would need additional flow for sure, it would create a gentle movement that would cause the corals to sway but wouldn't have much power to lift detritus.

I already have 2 x 6101 in my tank, both in Tunze rocks.

They already create quite a bit of movement.
