Would like some peoples opinions

I just ordered some frags from a reefer here on RC (not in CDMAS) and wanted some of your guys/gals input. I got really frustrated with the order and want to know if I'm in the wrong. I got 3 different frags from him (supposed to be four, but one frag died) and after trying to work something out he pretty much said oh well i better be happy. My major problem was the frag of PPE (Purple People Eaters) I got from him. As most of you probably know, when it comes to PPE you order them PER POLYP. So I ordered 2 polyps from him. My question to you guys is this:

When you are ordering zoas PER POLYP, do you expect adult polyps or would it not bother you either way?

The reason I ask is because one of the polyps I got from him was a TINY polyp.. much smaller than a full grown zoa, and the other isn't even close to an adult either. I just always assumed that when you ordered per polyp it would be adult polyps. Am I wrong in assuming this?? I guess I just thought that I would only count adult polyps in frag sales.. An example would be if i were selling a 10 polyp frag of a zoa, I would make sure there were 10 adult polyps and if there were any babies then thats just an added bonus for the person buying. Now I'm just ranting lol, but would like other peoples thoughts...

I agree with you. Especially when you're talking pallys. If I'm paying $10+ per polyp (or whatever the outrageous price is), then I expect full size polyps. If I get half the polyp, then I'll pay half the price. And as you said, babies are bonuses.

If you're not happy and you can't work things out with him, you're more than welcome to post about it in the member feedback forum.

If I bought ten, I might expect a mix of maturities. If I bought only two, I would expect two adults. Otherwise, I would think the seller made a conscious effort to screw me.

I'd be ****ed too...... I would expect adult polyps.... not babies.

What's the "going rate" for a polyp of PPE and how much did you pay/polyp?

If I were paying 25-50% of the going rate, then I wouldn't necessarily expect to get "adult sized" polyps.

Did you have a discussion with the seller about the polyps you were ordering before making the purchase? Were you misinformed....that would make a difference as well.

I assume these were one of the three that "made it"....have they fully opened yet?

This was one of the last messages he sent me:

"you know what... I'll just ship them UPS tomorrow....

I hope you like what you're getting... I just saw a 15 polyps frag of Tubs blues sell for $120..."

I got an order of mean greens from him, the 2 polyps of PPE and I got blues from him that he said hes pretty sure are tubs blues..... but he can't trace them to tubs himself, and in my eyes if you can't trace it then i'm not paying those prices. I've been looking through all my PMs cause I saved almost all of them because I had an uneasy feeling about him from the beginning but I can't find the one where he said that one was an adult and one was a sub-adult, but close to an adult. The good thing is that we are working it out. I have mixed feelings about this guy, sometimes it seems like he really didn't mean to do it, but at other times it totally seems like he did it on purpose.

You're paying the same full price for both, right? One is undersized? Something's wrong with this picture. The undersized one should have been a freebie if he wanted return business---and wouldn't your reaction have been "I'm dealing with him again!" if he had given you two plus the mini? Now you're asking yourself if this is fair dealing. 'Nuff said.

Sk8r, the sad thing is that both are undersized, one is such a fresh baby its not even the size of a zoa yet! and the other is probably 1/2 the size of a normal PPE! So I ordered 2 polyps and not one was an adult, and FYI it was WAY more then $10/polyp lol.

I dont agree with it at all, you should post the seller's RC name so we all know not to deal with him/her ...

This seller should be refunding some cost to you IMO ...

yeah, i would expect to get adult polpys when ordering PPE's arent they like 40 bones a polyp, id be ****ed if they were immature, even if only 10 bucks a polyp.
