Would there be any benefits w/ a refugium on a shark tank

Ok,

I now have three banded cat sharks and about 50 lbs live rock and various frags on the live rock. Right now I am running basic sump with a protien skimmer and a magnum 350. Just curious if running a refugium would be of any benefit?

I have no experience with sharks, but the extra water volume may help? and not unless youu can keep some huge critters up in there
