Would this radion be strong enough to grow SPS?

After doing some thinking I think I want to go with Less. The heat and evaporation that come with halide is something I'd like to try and avoid.

With that said, I really like the appearance of the kessil led over the radion. Would one kessil a360 wide angel tuna blue be enough for sps? Or should I get two kessil a360 narrow lights?

i have never been able to grow and color up sps with kessils, they just dont have the punch of radions, if you are serious about sps, get a halide... zsu

I have one A360WE over a Reefer Nano and it lights it up like Times Square in there. It's like a prism in the tank with light going in every direction. The SPS I had in there did great. They have since been removed because frankly SPS bore me. There are plenty of people growing SPS with Kessil lights just look around. If it were me I'd put two A160WEs on a 170. One A160WE would have been plenty on my Nano really as I never see myself needing to turn my 360 up past 50%.

I do see a lot of people growing sps under kessils on YouTube.

My complaint with halide are heat, increased evaporation, energy consumption, and I think the reflectors ate obnoxiously large.

I like the low profile of the kessil, especially since they came out with the mount where u can hide the wire.

All the reasons you cite are why I have moved away from halides. The Kessil form factor is definitely part of the appeal to me too, but really it's the quality of the light that won this long-time halide user over. The A-Series mounting arm is a huge improvement over the gooseneck. $65 may seem a little steep but I am impressed with its quality and function.

Don't know much about kessil but I do know Radions are proven to work. My tank runs G2 pro and I've grown several 6-8" colonies from 1" frags.
