Would you try to save these??

Hello all.
I just recently redid my tank about two months ago after a major algae outbreak that I could not control. These were in my rescue tank and they have pretty much got taken over by bubble algae. Would you try to save them? I'm just worried about transferring the bubble algae spores into my algae free tank. Thanks for your thoughts.

Wouldn't hurt to try and save them I'd say. If you have the spare tank to keep them in for a while why not? Try dipping the base in peroxide to kill the algae.

I would definitely try to save them. They are likely just fint after all that algea is removed.

I would remove it all, then give a peroxide dip to kill whatever is left, before adding it to the new tank.

how long of a dip? 2min 5 min?

Research it till you find a suggested method that makes you comfortable with the risk.

I usually do a 50/50 tank water mix for around 5 mins, after I shake the polyps to close up. I do a tank water rinse before going back into my system.

Manual removal plus multiple peroxide dips. Make sure the zoa's fully recover and open between dips as it is a little rough on them.

I had a bubble out break and dipped my Zoas and palys... I put there in tank water adding peroxide until they started to bubble ... They came back and are frowning like crazy now.. Good luck

peroxide dip ,,,,,peroxide 3%.....1 part peroxide to 4 parts salt water....6-8 minutes...had bad results going longer than 8 minutes..

You can also remove the rock from the water and pour 3% peroxide directly on the rock/algae and let sit for 3-5 minutes. Then rinse in a bucket with your tank water and place back in your tank. I did this with corse hair algae that infested all my live rock and now the rocks are spotless. Try removing most of the bubble algae prior. It may tank a week to slowly die off, but be patient. Turbo snails will mow through the dying algae in no time. Good luck.

Chuck them. The juice isn't worth the squeeze.

What do you mean the juice isn't worth the squeeze? They are still alive just irritated....and need tending to. There are many ways to go about this if cared enough about to learn.
