Wow...

A rock of Zoas that size is about 70 bucks here.. o.O There's a rock with some that have lime green faces, and brown skirts, but I refuse to cough up that much money on something I know they could price a lot cheaper.

Yeah... I don't think a D. Barberi would fair well in your 220 with all those beasts... and esp. with that Volitans once he gets some size on him.
And now that I think about it... 20g is on the small side for a D. Barberi.. I had my 2" Fuzzy in a 20g for a while... and once she hit the 3" mark she looked cramped.
Don't you just wish everyone could get along and NOT eat each other?

I've only had one fish confirmed eaten, maybe two. My Angler took out a Chromis when he was in the 5g, and then either my (then) small Volitan or Hamlet took out another Chromis (I don't know for sure, it could have just died then been lost).

Very cool looking tank, never seen fish like those! If you want to keep the sea squirts alive you can target feed them and they will grow and expand but will slowly die if you don't over a few months. The welks will eat your barnicles, cup corals, and limpets if you have any, maybe more but I have seen them eating these items in my tank.Sorry for buttin in on your thread.

No, please post!
I spent to much money today... :worried: I hit my LFS cycle today, including two new ones, so five in total. I got a new fish, but I don't want to post pictures until it makes it through the night because it is being a bit spastic right now, usually not a good thing. :eek1: And corals. One new Ricordia, sort of pink-ish and two Zoa frags. One is a mix of green and red ones (a decent amount of polyps) and another was two polyps of pure awesome under the LED Moonlights. When it does it's whole florescent thing when it glows. :celeb3: I might post a few pictures tomorrow night if he starts acting a bit more... normal. ;)

:headwalls: The new guy didn't make it. :furious: I was really hoping he would, he was an awesome little guy:

I'm still upset about losing the new guy, he was awesome. :(

He is fine when it's just me, he'll poke out and flare up, but he is scared of everything else.
Do you want the Scorp? lol

Yes, actually, I do. Only I don't have a tank for it :( Are you replacing it with something? Or why the need to give Mr. Awesome Scorp away?

EDIT: Oh, nvm... saw on the other thread why.

Yeah, I want to get a smaller Scorp, ideally an Ambon, but those are hard to keep. I'm thinking either a C. multibarbus or A. taenionotus. I'm most likely just going to take him to my LFS and see if I can find a better home from him. He will eat krill off of a stick, but not very eagerly. Once I get him eating better that will help him find a new tank... lol He might even end up in the 220g one day. xD

If you are really set on giving him up, then you could always post a thread on him in the Sale Forums, you know... I'm sure someone would buy him from you.

I'm not that desperate about getting rid of him at the moment. If he would just stop knocking over my frags. xD

Does the red stuff usually melt away? I ask because I got 50 #s of rock in my tank sunday and all the bright red stuff was gone by yesterday. :( I had one large rock like yours that was covered and it is all gone now.

Urgh, I had a heater malfunction and put the tank up in the high 80's. All of the orange on the top left rock pretty much melted off.

Compare that to Day 1:

It's pretty upsetting to say the least, especially since I had my new fish from DD arrive today.

I had to put him in my 5 gallon Mantis Shrimp tank for now, until I get the 20 back in shape. So far I did a 10 gallon water change, will do another in a few days if it doesn't clear up by then.

I had a heater bust and the tank was in the 80's or 90's, so it all melted away practically overnight. Maybe the same thing happened to you? I didn't notice the heat until I put my hand in the water.

In the Hammer picture you can see two little polyps of another Zoa I have, but are two small to get a good picture of.

Nah, nothing was wrong with mine. The temp was fine that's why I was wondering about it.

That Hammer is a Torch Coral. They are both in the genus Euphyllia.
I went to the LFS today, and saw a quarter size shell with 4 polyps of the pink zoas in your first zoa pic. I asked her how much, and she said $20. :hmm4: Wow. And they fragged it off their own colony too!

Speaking of heaters going rogue... my heater tried to boil my mantis yesterday... You can't trust the things.

Your tank is going to look even more amazing once those corals get some size on them!

Hammer, Torch, Frogspawn; all the same thing to me. ;) And every time I go to look at my tank after a few hours, it is knocked over. I don't know who knocks it over, the Angler or the Scorp, or even a curious Mantis, but it is annoying. :angryfire:
That particular frag I got was $10 or $15, I'm lucky I have some good stores. I have a friend who works at a coral wholesaler so hopefully he can help me get some nice Zoas for cheaper. :bounce2:

And, heaters are evil.

Tank is still looking awesome. I think your new light brings out the colors of your fish better.

So, none of your fish swim around? (I'm a little ignorant about anglerfish)

The Angler swims every once in awhile, but not a lot (like 2x a month). The Scorp swims when I'm not looking at him, if I am across the room can I see him swimming. The Leaf just hops around.
