wp-40 placement

I am in the process of designing my dream tank. I am on the fence between a 24"cube or a 32x24x20. Either way I'll be getting a wp-40 which I know is overkill, but I want the ability to storm the tank every week to kick up all the junk. (Tank will be bare bottom)
My question is on placement of the pump. I think I want the pump low in the tank... easier to hide and should help keep waves from splashing over the top.
All the reviews I see though of the Jeabo pumps and even the vortec's have the pumps toward the top. None are any lower than the middle of the tank. Is there a reason for this?

i have my wp40s aimed from bottom to top, no issues, can pretty much put it anywhere, bottom to top worked best in my setup as my bigger lps's and the carpet anemone didnt like it when the wp40s were up high.... placement is gonna be subjective to what your keeping., you will have to dial it way down in that small of a tank

yea, I know I'm going to have to dial it way back. I actually thought the 25 would be perfect, but it probably doesn't have the power to create a real storm in a tank that size. I appreciate the advice. your LPS are near the bottom I assume?
