wrasse can't shut mouth

I recently purchased a tank and all the fish one of the fish a leopard wrasse can't shut his mouth looks like there is a small bump hanging from one side of his jaw I was told he still eats brine shrimp what can i do i am having trouble getting a good pic.
Should i get him out of the tank or just let him go and see what happens?

They are know to injure their mouths when diving for sand and hitting the glass. It may starve. Just wait it out is probably the best you can do.
