Wrasse compatibility

I currently have a McCosker's flasher in QT almost ready to go into my DT. My very first wrasse. Now my LFS just got in another one that I really want, the Orange-Backed fairy. They are both supposed to be peaceful. If I add the McCoskers now, will I need to use an acclimation box when I add the Orange-back? Or would it be best for me to wait to add the McCoskers and keep in a separate QT until the Orange-back is ready and add them at the same time?

The "safest" approach would be to add them together.

Adding the McCosker's a few weeks ahead would probably be okay though.

Thanks for the response, I was hoping to get your expert opinion :)

So if I added the McCosker's a few weeks ahead, they would *probably* be okay even without an acclimation box? I may add a 3rd wrasse later, and I'd try to get the blue-sided fairy or exquisite fairy. Would they need an acclimation box?

Yes, you'd probably be fine without one in these case. The McCoskers will tend be submissive to the Orange back, especially since it won't really have time to get well established in the tank.

Adding another Cirrhilabrus later down the road would require one, yes.
