wrasse for a 40b

I know there are some wrasse experts lurking the shadows. I am wondering what kind and how many I can put in a 40b. I am also thinking of putting a midas blenny and other small fish in there (blennies, clownfish, gobies, jawfish etc)

Six line would work but sometimes get aggressive. Possum wrasses stay small and are very mellow.

There's a handful of Halichoeres species which are suitable for a 40g tank. There's an even smaller handful of Cirrhilabrus (fairy) species also suitable. Your best bet lies with ~3 Paracheilinus (flasher) species and/or a Wetmorella (possum) species.

I have a hoeven's in a 40b. Doesn't bother lps, sps or softies.
Eh, boarderline IMO. There are other Halichoeres which don't get as large and therefore better suited for a 40g tank.

Good ol 6 line. Works every time.
Avoid any Pseudocheilinus wrasse; they do not play well with other wrasses or sometimes any fish for that matter.

Flame, leopard or a solar.those are my favorite wrasses and one of those would be nice in a 40 breeder imo.
Unfortunately, all of which are too large or not suited for a 40g tank.

Almost always aggressive, and yup.

Currently acclimating a female blue star leopard wrasse. Highly recommend one
