Wrasse ID

I am posting this in both places, just to get a few opinions. Long story short, this was sold to me as cf. lancaelotus but after letting him adapt to the tank it resembles much more a roseafascia. Also, just some wrasse eye candy.

female or submale Cirrhilabrus roseafascia.

C. roseafascia has the pink band along the body (roseafascia = rose band). the ventral fin blue spots not touching the edge is another ID key.

Absolutely agree.

Correct; the dark spots on the pelvic fins being at the posterior is the sure distinguisher.

He is also quite aggressive which might lead to his very imminent eviction.
Normal for this species, unfortunately.

Mike I'm pretty sure it's the Rose band fairy wrasse as mentioned above. If you got it from the LFS that we both go to, then I'm almost 100% sure it is. They were suppose to get one in and I think it ended up coming in earlier then expected. The reason I say that is because the rose band I ordered never showed up the next week when it was suppose to.

Well he has been pulled, he swam right into the fish trap while we were holding it and put some food in there. He is living in my fuge right now so drop me a line if you want him. If not he is going to an lfs.
