My wife purchased a new Wrasse. The store wasn't exactly 100% sure what it was, but my wife liked it enough she bought it anyway. Can someone please help identify what specific Wrasse this is?!

My first thoughts are "Linespot Flasher Wrasse"

Or the "Filamented Flasher Wrasse"

Eightline and carpenters have a rounded tail. Filamented flashers have long filaments on the dorsal. Angulatus does not have filaments on the dorsal. It is angulatus, royal flasher.

I can see it being Angulatus but due to the resting dorsal in the picture I still feel like it could be Filamented. I guess we'll see when OP gets a happy pic of it. Either way nice fish, congrats

I wish s/he'd get happy...he stayed by that rock most of the night, and then sometime over night, moved to a different rock. How long do they usually stay stressed?

Mine hid for about 3 days, then out he went and started eating a special meaty blend I make. He mostly cruises on the middle or top area of the tank now.
