wrasse "Jet lag"

I picked up a male melanurus wrasse at a frag swap about 10 days ago. After acclimation he disappeared into the sand for 2 days. I got a little worried but heard that this was somewhat normal behavior. The following morning I noticed when I turned my lights on in my room (my tanks are in my room which is in the basement) to wake up that the wrasse was out and about just like it was daytime. He has continued this behavior up through and including this morning.

My lights go on when I get home at 530 pm and go off at midnight when I go to bed. I never see the wrasse because it is apparently active at my tanks night time.

Is this normal? How can I correct the wrasses schedule?

One of the things I tried doing to correcet this was turning off every little light I have in my basement (3 refugiums, etc) for 24 hours. This didn't help. I was going to try covering my tank up and leaving the lights off for like 2 or 3 days and seeing if that resets him.

I know my lighting schedule is different from the natural light cycle of my area but since my tanks are all in my basement they don't receive any kind of light from windows. All of my fish have adjusted to this schedule without fail or incident. Any kind of help would be cool.

He will adjust over time. Every once in a while it may change schedules for a week or 3. Just let it do its thing.
