Wrasses/Jumping

Well I just went to feed my fish and low and behold my Mystery Wrasse has left the building!!! Actually It was quite well done on the top support of my tank. That's Two high dollar Wrasse's that I've lost to these jumping jack fish, But It will be the last. You would think It would flop around up there and get back In the tank but no just very well done from my Halides. What a shame It was a really beautiful fish and great personality even If It liked to hide most of the time. Just needed to vent for a little while cause I'm really ****ed!!!

That sucks man ... I'm always afraid I'll come home and find a fish on the floor. I like to run an open top. I've contemplated buying a mystery wrasse before (beautiful fish, sorry for your loss) but would hate to have it jump.

Hate to hear that, Bill.

My lineatus just made the leap last weekend. I had been working on the tank, so the front cover was slightly open. She hit the uv shield on my MH, then came out of the tank onto the brick floor. I put her back in and she seemed dazed for a day or so, then seemed normal. No signs of her past two days after the incident... My uv shield shattered a minute or two after she hit it. She'd been picking on the male bipartus, oddly (the bipartitus is much larger than her).

Sorry to hear that... My 6 line gives me a funny look sometimes... I think he is planning something similar. ;) Makes me think I should leave the glass tops on my tank. I have two sheets of egg crate ready to swap out but that is 32 or 33 on the todo list :)
