The wisconsinreefsociety.org website will be coming down shortly. Due to circumstances resulting from a webmaster with demands that could not be met by our club.
A new website is in the works. Not quite ready for prime time as we are in the testing phase.

After what i have read was it right that the guy had worked for two years for nothing building the wisconsin reef society group site from a thirty seven member site to six-hundred and more. And he asked for ownership so he can take it further to help build the site more and the ownership was for site only at no cost to the group. All work free and you just make from him

I guess the club did nothing in your words. There are not 600 members. There might be 600 people that have signed up and looked at the site once. The true WRS paid members, I am sure they did not come just because of a website. Word of mouth goes along way. The other thing was, as far as I know, no one in the club told Craig to keep improving the site over and over again. Craig did do a nice job but no one asked for all the bells and whistles. Now the site is better than ever with all Craigs hard work and now he wants reimbursement. Even though it was ever talked about. Thats like taking your brand new car into the dealership and them putting upgrades on for 2 years and "Pimping your ride" Then ask for payment and the title for your vehicle even though neither of you own it. Thats my $.02

Only fair i should let the members know what as been happening.
Has from this point the wrs group will no longer be active within this site.
What has happened.
From the days of yahoo groups of 36 or so members
I agreed to help out and make a small site.
I took on board all the comments and the members comments and i have commited
2 years of my time in creating the site we have today overall 1000's of hours in this mean time i refused work which on average cost me around $18000 however this i didn't mind.
But just recently i decided to approach the group with a offer.
The offer was let me take ownership of the wrs site (which i do anyway) but i wanted it official.
Part of my offer is that the group dosn't pay me a $1 i pay them ( yes i pay them )
This is what i do for a living i make millions for companys and grow there sites to achieve this.
With ownership i could approach sponsorship/clients as the owner and create revenue and offers for the members (you guys). We would then split the money to help the group grow and to cover web costs etc.
So to me this seemed logical.. I've grown attached to the site I have created and wanted now to make it work within my work pattern. I spent a average of no less 6 hours a day updating,altering,mending,adding , etc to help make the site grow.
But they said no. So in my terms is that i take the site down because i cant run it for free no more.
Now suddenly i am holding them hostage??? this i find such a silly and childish comment and all the work put in. I also have had (Nait009) changing my avatar just to make fun of me + numerous pm's insulting me of them they were not nait. Also he did go in and ban my fellow users in which i was stuck to bring the site back up after i took it down for updates.
I am totally lost not sure what i said to be treated this way. However not to cry over that.

So yes my choice for bringing the site down but yet this option is unavoidable.
I thank each member for helping it grow and i have tried to to do everything for you. Theres only so much you can do to a site make it exciting.
