I figured Id check here real quick before I bought one

I might be the only person that doesn't "have one lying around"

stats

12V, 1000mA are the requirements

anyways, let me know

Check a garage sale, co-worker, neighbor. Most people have an old cordless phone lying around with one of these. Even old cell phone chargers might work.

Power?

Power?

How many fans are you running? That power requirement seems pretty steep. 1000mA.

THe fan usually has the amperage printed on it. Just add the number of fan's amperage and you will have the total required. For a power supply I like to have about twice the necessary amperage so the power supply does not run hot.

For my sump cooling fans I use one of these:

It is 800maA and the voltage is adjustable. I use 12 volt fans but this power pack can change voltage so I can run the fans at a lower voltage so they run slower and quieter. Not sure if that will work for a light where you probably need full power all the time.

I have a 12VDC 800mA if you want it. What area are you in? I am in Ballwin.

I bought one for $8 at Wal-Mart. It's variable voltage so you can adjust the speed and the sound.

I went to gateway electronics and sifted through the used ones for about 20 minutes and they didnt have what I needed

so I asked the guy and he helped me pick out a new one

its variable volatage and 1000mA for 9.95 so it wasnt bad

the fans are thermaltake 79CFM monsters
hopefully they aren't too loud
