Wanted to buy :

Need a 300watt or more heater, I want to keep a heater in the tub with my ro/di water :p

anyone got one laying around cheep ?

Do you really need 300 watts? I have a 100 watt heater in my ro water storage tub (35 gallon rubbermaid garbage can) and it keeps the water at 78°F. How big is your storage tub? What is your turn-over rate? I go through about 20 gallons a week and the 100 watt heater keeps up.

I needed a cheapo heater for my RO/DI water also, When i was at SB, Tony had a used 100 watt he sold me for $5. Don't know if he has more. Give him a shout. A 300 watt does sound like alot. I use 2 200's to heat my whole tank (90 + sump= 107 gal, less the displacemnt for the rock and sand), and they do the job just fine.

I have a 35 gallon storage tub for my RO/DI water which is in the basement. I have a 100w heater that maintains 72 degrees but it is on all the time. Alot has to do with the ambient temp in that space? My basement is kept around 60 degrees.

So i use a stealth 250w heater to maintain temp. Which works fine. I wouldn't go any smaller then 250w I also like a larger heater with fast recovery. So if i decide to unplug it, I don't have to wait 2 days or more for it to reach temp.

50 gallon tub I'm using... The more wattage the faster it heats up and wont be on/off so much.. like Kris said above, less recovery time :)

I use a 500 watt titanium in my 90 :)

300 watter is what I'm looking for :) 250 watt is the lowest I'd go :p

I figured I'd ask on here if not I'll get a cheapo depo off ebay, its only for my spare water :p

15 gallons a week I use for the 90, and then 2.5 gallons for each of my 10 gal nano's... Plus I make water here for another member who doesnt have a RO/DI unit yet..
