WTB: 400MH bulb and fish

We're looking at trying some new K ratings so if anyone has any 400w MH bulbs that are fairly new let us know. Ideally a 10k XM is what we're looking to try.

Also, we're ready to start stocking our reef...if anyone has any small reef safe fish FS.
Again, ideally we're looking at darker/onyx clowns, chromis, etc...

thanks,

It currently is, and has been. It's very high off the water....we like to be able to look down at our tank. We are just looking to try some new bulbs out.

I have 3 400W XM 10k bulbs that I ran for 4 months. did you want to try a bulb? I switched over to Reeflux 10k, much better color.

Ditto on what Rod said...I've heard that the 10k XM's are great..not too yellow and not too blue.

And Rod, you'll be hearing from us soon...we have to get a pair of those onyx, they're gorgeous.

Same with me...I ran 400 10K XM's on Icecap's and thought they were yellow.

I think a 400 over a 20 gallon tank is crazy though....At a minimum, it's a total waste of electricity. You can do just as much light on that thing with a 250DE. Just my $.02. :D

I ran my XM 10k on Blueline eBallasts, appearance was very yellow. The Reeflux 10k appear much more white, but not quite as bright side by side versus the XM.

The reason we are interested in the 10k's is because of Joe's (JBNY) testing on the 250 lamps. As for the appearance of the bulb, that is not such a big deal...on our future tank we will be using a variety of bulbs and spots.

Mike- Our Halide is for more than lighting our reef, it's our furnace too. ;) We had some extra equipment laying around from our previous reef and threw this little nano together to hold us over for our cube.
