I am looking for an acrylic sump. LMK what you have and what you are asking for it.
An acrylic tank would suffice as well.

Thanks

You should probably qualify this with a size range. I donated a 15 gal sump to the club. As far as I know, Rich still has it.

It is designed for a remote DSB but it should work for most purposes. I was selling it for $35 before I decided to donate it. Check with Rich.

Brian can you provide Rich's info. I dont think I know him. I am adding this to a 60G tank so it should suffice. If he has it and wants to sell it that would be cool. I just need a pic of it to kind of see how it looks like. Thanks

you should of let me know earlier Warren, we have 3 spare sumps currently, ranging from about the size you are looking for up to 5' long. BTW, everything we got from you is doing well, thanks again :)

Tom, I will come by to visit.. send me pics of what you have and what you want for them. I will be in the bay AUg. 23, if I buy one off of you then I can swing by to pick it up. lmk . Thanks buddy.

I will be in Concord on the 23rd, playing host to some IBM developers from Rome, but I can always bring a sump with me and should still be able to slip away to meet up, if you are nearby.

Here are the sumps that we have. I am still sort of shocked that we have that many just collecting dust :)

The one that came originally with the 92 gal oceanic corner tank. It has a built in needle wheel skimmer. It is supposed to be rated for 200 gallons, but then I found another web site that listed it as rated for 100. It is 20" long, 13 1/4" wide and 18 1/4" tall. The water flow is U shaped, in that the sump is separated into 3 compartments. It is a CPR IY194 : http://www.cpraquatic.com/products/cyclone.html (Minus the 2 Rio pump that comes stock). We still have the venturi Rio in a box somewhere in the attic, but the return pump Rio (just a stock Rio) has long since been thrown out. I would highly recommend just using MaxiJets in their place. There is the stock 3/4" or 1" bulkhead (not really sure the exact size since I never used it, but it looks like 3/4") installed that has a threaded plug in it. More info can be found here : http://www.aquadirectinfo.com/filter/CY192.htm . Looks like it would only support 400 GPH flow through, so not sure if it would suite your needs. And the build in skimmer can be taken out (and/or replaced by a "commercial" one), the "biobale" area can be used for chaeto and/or live rock and the return area has ample room for a decent return pump. It looks to be able to hold approx 20 gallons overall.

Looks like they still sell it for $280 : http://www.aquadirect.com/store/product.php?productid=354&cat=0&page=1
Although I suspect that is $280 Canadian (I can't imagine it going for that much USD). I was thinking around $60 obo for the sump.

The next sump is a TruVu Platinum (I have had zero luck finding anything online about it). The overall dimensions are 30" X 16" X 16". There are 2 holes for 1 1/2" bulkheads drilled in the return end of this sump. I am pretty sure I still have the bulheads laying around here somewhere. It looks to be able to hold approx 33 gallons overall.

We picked it up at Aquarium Concepts a little over 2 years ago and used it for about 6 months before upgrading yet again (when I got the bug to have a refugium). As you can see it has the holders for the 4" filter socks (I think that is the measurement for them). I believe that we paid less than $200 for it and would consider $90 obo

And finally, the one we used for almost a year up to the point where we built our own was a custom sump made by a company down in LA (We bought it through an LFS so I don't know exactly which company made it). It measures 48"L X 16"W X 18"T. Here is a picture of it in use back when we had it set up. There are no bulkheads or other hole cut into this sump at this time. It looks to be able to hold approx 60 gallons overall.

We paid over $500 for this one (but again, it was through an LFS) and it served us well with the 'fuge section. It is very well built, with the holders for the large filter socks. It is built with 5/16" acrylic. We were looking to get $185 for this. (that would basically cover material cost if one were to make their own, and bought the acrylic from Tap Plastic).
