Jr does not have the internet capable.

Technically it doesn't have the built in internet capability, but you can plug it into any computer using the serial port and use the AquaNotes software to be able to see it via the web. The computer is used as the webserver.

I went this route because I have a spare tiny lil Sony Vaio laptop with Wireless capabilities that I can use.

LoL, I don't have the software yet and I'm planning on purchasing it. Just going to try the Lite version first to see if I like it. Waiting on UPS to deliver my pH probe, serial cable and calibration fluids. They are arriving today.

Ying,

Nope, no water in it yet. My Optima C/A is cranking away making water as we speak though. I need to wait till my electrical is done before I fill it up.

which pH probe did you get? american pinpoint? That makes sense to wait till the electrical is done haha. Start mixing the salt though!

Can I test it after you? ;D

sure when I get a hold of that full version.

you can download the light version of the soft ware for free why would you want to borrow an illegal copy?

I plan on purchasing it, but will be using the Lite version first to see if I like it. Even if I planned on using a pirated version (which I am not) I wouldn't have the time to be a warez pup.

I just got the pH probe in from UPS. Is it normal for the probe to have a little white crusty residue near it's tip? it's on the seam where the lil rubber cap and the tube meet. Also is it normal to have liquid inside of them? I've never owned anything like this so I don't know what to expect.

haha, yeah, those rubber caps are filled with fluid so that the probe do not go dry. you remove the caps and start calibrating it with the 7.0 and 10.0 ph solutions. not sure about the residue though
