WTB black eggcrate

I did not realize how hard it was to fing black eggcrate locally, and wanted to see if anyone had an extra piece they wanted to sell. It does not have to be a full piece, honestly I just need enough to cover my overflow so critters don't get into my siphon or sump.

Paint it with black paint that bonds to plastic. Krylon makes a good one and you can get it at HD or Lowe's. There are other brands.

i have (4) sheets of black....gonna use part of 1 for my new build...plan on keeping rest for future projects

how big a piece(s) you need??? i can probably get some out of what's leftover when i make the cuts for mine

I have black screen material, what would you recommend making the frame out of? Currently I am using a white one, and want to change because it really sticks out. I would love to paint it, but woudn't Krylon be toxic to the tank?
James, all l I need is about a 6"x10" piece.

oh, i can definately get a piece that size for ya :)

Gutter guard from Home Depot or Lowes is great for overflow covers. :)

Screen would probably work fine as well, as long is its a larger screen than, say, screen door screening. If its too fine, you'll be cleaning it every day to keep it from clogging up! Even with gutter guard, I have to clean mine every couple of weeks or so, but that is becoming less frequent now that my algae has chilled. :)

Depends on the type of box. I superglued mine to the street ells on my overflow. :) If you didn't want to glue it, you could possibly drill some holes and use small zip ties.
