Anybody Have a Sea Slug small to medium size. I can Barrow got some Hair that needs to be gone.

In the Largo Area.

I have qty of 3 - 1.5" to 2.25" turbo snails you can have, let me know, you can pick up in downtown Dunedin during the week or we can meet up 5:40pm on ulmerton and 19

I thought seas slugs hares were the only thing that ate Green Hair Algae I got the real dense bushy kind. But I am really low on Turbo's how much do you want for them.

You do realize if for some reason the sea hare dies it could poison your whole tank right?

The only reason that it would die is if its starves from my understanding there pretty hardy. Also that's why I want to barrow one my tank could not sustain a sea hare.

They can be pretty hardy but like every creature we put into our tanks each creature varies...a fish buddy of mine lost $400 of fish and inverts due to one dying for unexplained reasons

It depends on how you loose it. I had a large one. 4+" long and Had it in my nem tank. One of my 18" carpets ate it. About a week later my carpet pooped big. It did a great job in all of my other tanks and if you have fixed the issues as to why you got hair algae then I think the sea hare is great. Just pay it forward when your done. I went over a year with no hair algae in 4 tanks after the sea hare was gone

I've got a sea hare. Had him for 6 months. Passing him from tank to tank. Hare alg. is not the only thing this cat will eat. He has done a great job on Diatom , Hair , even a red alg. patch. I even seen it eating Nori. I would pass it forward. ButI would have to have him back ..Because I think I have a 1 of a kind pig, which eats anything .

So I got a Sea Slug from a LFS saturday acclimated for an hour put him in my tank moved around for a day next day found him not moving and smaller. He has not moved for a full day not and looks lot smaller. So I took him out and put him in a Temp 5 gallon QT over night still has not moved but is not decomposing or anything is he dead or something?

Sometimes they don't move around for a long time, try entising it to eat by placing it onto some algae or in this case take algae from your tank and place it in QT to see if it starts munching away.

I got one a on thursday. He did the same thing. I picked him up and put him right on the algae I want him to eat. He did for a few mins then went and hid again for another day. Then I moved him where I wanted and he went to town. It was like the move was hard on him and he had to rest for a wile. Now he is doing his job. Put him back in the tank that he needs to clean

I put some algae in the QT he has not moved an inch since last night and now the tank is starting to smell wired so I think he is dead I out him upside down and its not moved or try to right itself.

I put is head in some algea and see if he moves here is a picture of him he looked like this for past days or so.
