I experience some aiptasia out break on my tank. I am looking for to buy both copperband butterfly and Berghia Nudibranchs. I tried a dozen peppermint shrimp but their disappear after I put them in the tank. Lmk if you have any copperband butterfly or Berghia Nudibranchs for sale. I could go to store for copperband but I had bad luck with copperband from store.

I've never gotten a copperband to live from the store. Actually at the moment. I'm dealing with some aiptasia also

I got a file fish in my tank. He waits for fish food rather then the aiptasia lol

skip the fish, go for the nudi or hand nuke the aiptasia with kalk paste, that worked out for me after I tried everything you listed here.

I didnt use aiptaisa-x, i just use kalk paste (kalk with little water and mix it to enough that it become a blob when injected in water ) shot a good load directly in the center of the pest.

Didn't someone buy a bunch of Berghia and have a few extras? Maybe that was a while ago. If anyone knows where to get them at a reduced price, I'd be happy to organize an unofficial group buy. I need some for my anemone tank (where I can't have other fish or inverts that will eat more than aiptasia).

I think Scuzy know where to ge them. There is a guy who is selling some in Sacto, too.

i bought a bunch but sold the ones i didn't need and the ones i had never seen them again. hopefully they are doing the dirty deed and making more

I thought that was you, but wasn't sure.

If I can get some, I'm going to keep a few in a cubicle tank with my clownfish so I can keep an eye on them.

Skip the fish. My nudibranches are dominating the Aiptasia in my tank. I see a pair of them every night hunting on the rock.

How well do they do in a mixed reef with heavy flow? I always figured either they get sucked out or fish pick them off?

I was worried about the same thing. I have them in my sps dominate tank, saw one getting blasted right in front of the pump. They stick to the rock pretty well, and since they only come out at night my wrasse is long gone into the sand.

I agree unless you love the fish. I didn't buy it for Aptasia control I just wanted a nice fish for my tank, eating Aptasia was a plus. But after a year he has stopped eating them, he's well fed so I assume that's why he doesn't bother with them anymore, that or he just lost the taste for them.

This is what I wanted to hear. I have been reluctant to get the Berghia because I don't want them to be an expensive snack for my Melanarus, he's a savage. Since they are nocturnal I don't think they'll cross paths. I've also heard that if the Melanarus was eat one he wouldn't again because they taste lousy. I'm going to place an order as soon as the weather warms up a bit so I don't have to worry about the cold temps.

haha Andy, Im hoping for the same thing with the ones I got from you. From what I've read they sound promising but it just takes a few months for them to populate.

They have to do their Netflix and chill nights and spring some newborns.

On a side note all my aptasias in dunno are gone. Not sue if it's the Berghias or the peppermints.
