WTB Female Green Mandarin

I'm looking for a female green mandarin approx. 2.5 - 3" size. If anyone has one or has come across any at a LFS please let me know. I also have a healthy male GM for trade that is in my refugium right now.

How would you know its a female? Are they the ones who cant stop talking.

Yeah that and also the female has a more round dorsal fin minus the spine

Wow Ed - I don't know which of the Mandarins is happier ...your male or my female but they found each other within a minute (til now I could only catch glimpses of my female as she fluttered by..very camera shy...)

I think they met (privately behind the rocks), but I haven't seen them together yet. As soon as I see positive signs I'll let you know. On a good note the female seems very happy so far grazing for pods - definately not stressed.

Your guy definitely is feeling no stress..they slept in late this morning and didn't appear til afternoon... hmmm. He's been out many times today picking at things, looking great and nobody has even given him a second look (fish-wise).
Do you know if your guy (I named him Ed...lol) likes live brine shrimp?

Mine are still going thier separate ways. Hopefully they'll connect soon. I've never fed mine live brine, but have seen them go after frozen mysids from time to time. My system does produce a tremendous amount of pods for them to feed on though.

Do we know if they should be spending all of their time together or if they forage independently? Will have to research that.

I have a huge pod population too, but he's so much bigger than the female I traded to you, I figure he might put a dent in the population. On top of that I'm upgrading the tank soon and will lose some of my popluation when that happens, so I'm trying to preplan supplementing with brine to get them safely through the transition.
I can also harvest some pods from my cube or move one of them into the fuge in the cube for a couple of weeks til things level back off.
