WTB - X10 modules

Does anyone have any X10 modules they want to sell. I know some people don't like them, so maybe they are sitting in a box in the closet. I want to try them out. I would need the power line interface to start and then some appliance modules or receptacles.

Joel, X10's work pretty well unless you have something causing like interference. When i was running electronic ballasts i had problems with mine. Now that i don't have electronic ballasts they work flawlessly. They are especially nice when you have some equipment on separate floors. I would still like to have a DC8 someday but for the money the X10's are the way to go...unless you have line interference which makes the unreliable. Make sure to try and get a few appliance (3 pin) modules as well as the lamp modules. I got some 3 pinnner's from someone from the for sale forum for $10 a piece shipped, that was a pretty good deal.

Thanks Jeremy, I have been reading up on them. Did you have to use a phase coupler or any noise filters?

If you buy more Ebay has them pretty reasonable 3 appliance grounded for $17 plus $8 SH. I was just going to see if anyone had them sitting in box so I could test them out.

Ryan had appliance modules but I need the interface first.

I haven't tried any filters or anything. They are working perfectly now that i don't use electronic ballasts so i couldnt tell you if they would help or not.

Most if all interference can be stopped using a ferrite choke on the trouble making electronics. Radio shack might still carry them if you ever have troubles. They are also used to stop RF going to amps and tuners.

I assume this would be cheaper than buying the $10 x10 filters? Do they come as a plug in adapter?
