Sounds like a great meeting. Count me in for being there. Learning more about phtotgraphing our tanks is an awesome topic for me, as I struggle getting white balace correct and so forth. I look forward to hearing from Richard as well, and also look forward to seeing this nifty tank that you have posted pics of, and the under the stairwell equipment. :D

I thought the meeting was being hosted by dzones?
Yeah, well.....

Like I said, "After much discussion, enthusiastic banter and otherwise lively thread posts, I am privileged to advise you that the November Meeting has been officially announced......"

(Marcus, the Officers contacted me as an alternate and requested that I host Nov., given my more central proximity.)

Like I recommended in one of other threads: We will review & sign-up Hosts for this coming the Year's (tentative) schedule at the next meeting. We will endeavor to mix up the venues between Jackson & Memphis. Cool? :o

I like the planning and structuring of meetings. I think we should do this from now on. When you can learn something at each meeting, I think that will make the meetings more popular.

It's what you get with a Supply-Chain guy... it's part of the DNA, that I can't change.

You should have seen the RFP (Request for Proposal) I put out before I bought my tank....

Wow, you put out an RFP for a tank. There is definitely something in your DNA. :hmm3: JK. Good job on planning.

Shah... Interesting results. ;)

Okay it was really more like an RFQ, but why not??? It was more than a few bucks.

(P.S. - dzones: I secured a PC Projector for the meeting.)

Hey, if you can save some money and it isn't grounds for a divorce, then I'm on board. Oh, I am definitely going to try to make the meeting. I have done some basic SLR photography before, but I have just been using a digital pocket cam for years and need some schooling on this type of photography with a real camera (which I will not have for a year or more from now.)

BUMP: (just to keep it up top)

Folks, I'm really excited about this next meeting.

I’ve secured the PC projector to we’ll have a good display for showing all the steps for photo “posting”, as well as the general discussion about “shooting”.

In addition to having our own Richard Rendos who will provide insights as the avid Aquarist, Digitographer and technology advisor, I have also asked a good friend of mine (& WTMRAC outsider) to join us, who is expert on Photography, in general.

Chris Oot (funny last name I know!) is a guy who is as obsessed about photography, as we are about reef tanks. I forget the number but he’s spent thousands of dollars on photo equipment and I know Chris will be an additional reference for those of you wanting to get the latest on Cameras and equipment.

I’ve asked Chris to bring some of his favorite stuff. He’s got some nice macro equipment.

He’s a Cannon guy too Richard! :artist:

I will try to be there.Dont want to miss out on this one. It really sounds good . An I can used the help. Hope to come with Doris..
